Here are the latest uploads to Google’s Cities in Development section of the 3D Warehouse since my last post.



Tel Aviv, Israel



Dan Tel Aviv and King David Tower Hotels





The Dan Tel Aviv hotel is one of the most prestigious and veteran hotels in Tel Aviv. It's colorful western facade was designed by the famous Israeli artist Ya'acov Agam. The King David Tower is a 22 stories extension to the hotel, built between 1991 to 1994 and designed by Figin Architects. The tower serves mostly as long-term apartments for rent.

San Antonio, Texas



Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center



The Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center is located in San Antonio, Texas along the banks of the San Antonio River Walk. Named after the late US congressman Henry B Gonzalez, the original convention center was built as a part of HemisFair ’68, and has been altered significantly since then. The convention center has a total of 1.3 million square feet, which includes 59 meeting rooms, 3 ballrooms, 4 exhibit halls and 7 registration areas. The center also contains a 2,521 seat theatre for the performing arts.



Alamo Long Barrack And Mission Walls



This is the Official Google Earth 3D Model of the Alamo Long Barrack Museum and the surrounding mission walls. This model was developed by BrightGIS (www.BrightGIS.com) under the direction of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, the organization that maintains and manages the Alamo. In the early 1800's, the Spanish military established the first recorded hospital in Texas in the Long Barrack. The current structure, built using the remains of the original Long Barrack, opened in 1968 and houses exhibits on the Alamo's historic past as well as the Clara Driscoll Theater.



Alamo DRT Library and Alamo Hall



This is the Official Google Earth 3D Model of the DRT Library and Alamo Hall. This model was developed by BrightGIS (www.BrightGIS.com) under the direction of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, the organization that maintains and manages the Alamo. Dedicated in 1950, the DRT Library contains books and documents on Texas History. The adjoining Alamo Hall is a former San Antonio city fire station, and now serves as a meeting hall.



Alamodome



Set in the heart of downtown San Antonio, the Alamodome is both a domed stadium and convention center. Four massive triangular pillars don thick cables stretching down from four different corners to support the domed roof. Lyda Contractors completed the design by HOK Sport+Venue+Event in 1993.



Alamo - Security Maintenance Amphitheater and Greenhouse



This is the Official Google Earth 3D Model of the Security/Maintenance Building, Greenhouse, Amphitheater, and Education Arbor portions of the Alamo complex. This model was developed by BrightGIS (www.BrightGIS.com) under the direction of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, the organization that maintains and manages the Alamo. The Amphitheater and adjoining Education Arbor were completed in 2002. The amphitheater has a seating capacity of 78 and provides a venue for many of the educational programs hosted by the Alamo.
