Koppers Building
Description
The Koppers Building in downtown Pittsburgh is one of the cities best examples of Art Deco styling. The Architects responsible for the design include Chicago architects Graham, Anderson, Probst and White. It is 475 feet (145 meters) tall. It was built in 1929. Model by Lars Zimmerman.
Bellefield Presbyterian Church
Description
The Bellefield Presbyterian Church was originally located closer to the town center of Pittsburgh, but moved to the Oakland neighborhood onto a piece of donated land in 1801. The final stage of construction was completed in 1899. It is one of the oldest buildings in Pittsburgh. This building has many features common to a church constructed at this time; it had a largely axial design with large circular congregation areas, arched openings and tall ceilings. The large stone block construction and 3 intricate stained glass windows define this as a place of worship. Model constructed my Adam Hecht.
