One Illinois Center

Description
Designed by architect Mies van der Rohe, One Illinois Center was completed in 1970. Bronze tint glazing and dark bronze aluminum siding clad this building, which overlooks the Chicago River. Model by Zach Moore.

Two Illinois Center

Description
Designed by architects Fujikawa Conterato Lohan & Assoc., Two Illinois Center was completed in 1972. The buildings stand 375 ft tall. Model by Zach Moore.

Michigan Plaza North and South

Designed by architects Fujikawa Conterato Lohan & Assoc., Michigan Plaza North and South were completed in 1981. The south tower stands 335 ft tall. Model by Zach Moore.

McCormick Place

Description
Located only minutes from downtown Chicago, Illinois the McCormick Place, owned and operated by the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority attracts close to 3 million visitors each year. It consists of four state-of-the art buildings: the north and south buildings, the west building and the Lakeside Center. With 2.7 million square feet of exhibit halls, 175 meeting rooms, 700,000 square feet of meeting room space, 3 ballrooms, a 4,249 person capacity theater and 5,000 parking spaces- it is an impressive complex to see.

Description
28 stories office tower, 106.92m completed in 1996. In order to get enough space in the building on this small site an extension was suspended on the west side. This extension stands on steel pillars so the view of the historic Schielandshuis is not blocked. The west wall takes a stepped shape so the appartment buildings nearby can get enough sunlight. The top has a steel crown.
