Warsaw, Poland

The Royal Castle

Messina, Sicily Italy.

Santuario della Madonna di Montalto.

Sita in posizione preminente sul colle della Caperrina, fu il primo edificio di culto ricostruito nel dopo terremoto; è legata all'apparizione della Madonna in difesa dei messinesi assediati dai Francesi nel corso della guerra del Vespro (Madonna delle Vittorie); il bel prospetto, rivolto verso il mare, fu rifatto nel 1930 con due campanili a cuspide che affiancano la facciata. Anche dalla piazza antistante a questa chiesa si gode di uno stupendo panorama, lodato, con parole di viva ammirazione, dal papa Giovanni Paolo II, che ebbe modo di goderlo nel corso della sua visita alla città del 1988.

Transamerica Pyramid

The Transamerica Pyramid is the tallest and most recognizable skyscraper in the San Francisco skyline. Built on the location of the historic Montgomery Block, it has a structural height of 260 meters (853 feet) and contains 48 floors of retail and office space. Construction began in 1969 and finished in 1972. It is currently ranked as the 88th tallest building in the world.
