Auckland War Memorial Museum is New Zealands first museum. Established in 1852 in a two-room farm cottage in the central Auckland suburb of Grafton, Auckland Museum is recognised as holding nationally and internationally significant collections. The Museum tells the story of New Zealand, its place in the Pacific and its people. The Museum is a war memorial for the province of Auckland and holds one of New Zealands top three heritage libraries. It has pre-eminent Maori and Pacific collections, significant natural history resources and major social and military history collections, as well as decorative arts and pictorial collections.

Ferry Building Auckland Water Front, NZ

Description
HISTORY The Auckland Ferry building was designed by Alex Wiseman and built by Philcox and Sons at a cost of 67,944 pounds, a large sum for the day. It was completed in 1912 on land reclaimed by the Auckland Harbour Board. ARCHITECTURE The architectural style of this building is Edwardian Baroque. An international look for 2007 On June 14 2003, Emirates Team New Zealand announced a challenge for the America’s Cup with Dubai-based airline Emirates as the lead and naming rights sponsor. At that time Toyota New Zealand, a long-time supporter of New Zealand America’s Cup teams announced that it would be on board for the fifth time. The announcement was the official start of the team’s challenge for the 2007 America’s Cup. [CAT] En realitat dos edificis: la Casa de l'Ardiaca (s. XII) -les tres ales al voltant del pati- i la Casa del Degà (s. XIV) -que s'escurçà per deixar lloc a la Plaça de la Catedral, a la que dóna la seva façana renaixentista-; la seva aparença unitària es deu a una restauració del s. XIX. A la part sud s'observen restes de l'antiga muralla i torres romanes, sobre les quals s'edificaren. També es conserva un arc de l'aqüeducte que portava aigua a la ciutat des de Collserola. *** [ESP] En realidad dos edificios: la Casa del Archidiácono (s. XII) -las tres alas alrededor del patio- y la casa del Decano (s.XIV) -que se acortó para dejar espacio a la Plaza de la Catedral, a la que da su fachada renacentista-; su apariencia unitaria se debe a una restauración del s. XIX. En la parte sur de aprecian restos de la antigua muralla y torres romanas, sobre las que se edificaron. También se conserva un arco del aqüeducto que traía agua a la ciudad desde Collserola. *** [ENG] In fact two buildings: the Archdeacon's house (12th c.) -the three wings arround the central yard- and the Dean's house (14th c.) -which was shortened to make way to the Cathedral Square, to which its Renaissance façade overlooks-; its apparent unity comes from a 19th c. restauration. In the southern part some traces of the old Roman walls and towers are visible, over which the houses were built. There also remains a single arch of the aqueduct that used to bring water to the city from Collserola.

Designed by Clinton & Evans, Karigamombe Centre was completed in 1985. It is a 20-storey office block standing at a height 80 metres located at 53 Samora Machel Avenue in Harare Zimbabwe, It has an arcade which cuts through the building, providing a link for pedestrians to walk across the block, the building is also home to multiple retail units, restaurants anchored by a major bank.
