Description
Kent House stands at 85m, with 27 floors and was built in 1972. It is currently the headquarters of British channel 3, ITV. Television programmes that have been either filmed or broadcasted there include 'You've Been Framed', 'The Southbank', 'Blind Date' & 'Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway'. The tower was featured in Ant vs Dec where they had to race down the tower by abseiling. This was broadcasted in September 2006 and Dec won.

Description The Blackhawk Hotel is an 11 story brick and terra cotta building with its architectural influences in the Italian Renaissance and modern Art Deco. The First 7 stories of the Blackhawk Hotel were built in 1915, and the top 4 were completed in 1920. It was designed by local architecture firm Temple & Burrows. Description 50 Biscayne Tower is a skyscraper in downtown Miami, Florida. The building was expected to open in 2007. The tower is located on Biscayne Boulevard between Flagler Street and Northeast First Street in northeastern Downtown, and forms part of the Biscayne Wall, a series of skyscrapers visible from Biscayne Bay along the west side of Biscayne Boulevard. it is 554 ft (169 m) tall with 55 floors. The building feature retail and hotel rooms on floors one through nine, and floors eleven through 55 are residential condominium units. The tenth floor will consist of a restaurant and public observation deck area. Ground was broken on the building in June 2005.

Description
The Hotel Intercontinental Miami is a hotel in downtown Miami, Florida. It belongs to the InterContinental Hotels chain. Located on Biscayne Bay, the hotel is in the form of a 35-story tower on the eastern edge of downtown in Bayfront Park. The address is 435 Chopin Plaza. The building is 122 m (366 ft) tall, has 35 stories, and was built in 1982. InterContinental Miami overlooks sparkling Biscayne Bay, the city and the port, located directly in the heart of the financial district. The hotel features a fitness center and spa, restaurant and lounge, beauty salon/barber, and Concierge. Valet parking is available for approximately $24 per day inclusive. Guest rooms feature a remote control TV, movie and satellite channels, in-room video check-out, direct-dial telephone, voicemail, minibar, tea/coffee making facilities, laundry and valet service, and 24-hour room service.

Miami-Dade Courthouse
Description
The Dade County Courthouse is a historic U.S. courthouse in Miami, Florida. It is located at 73 West Flagler Street. Constructed over four years (1925-28), it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on January 4, 1989. The building is 360 feet (120 meters) tall with 28 floors. When built, it was the tallest building in Miami and in Florida. considered one of the more monumental structures in Florida, Dade County's 27-story Neoclassical-style courthouse was begun in 1925. It was designed by architects A. Ten Eyck Brown and August Geiger. The disastrous hurricane of 1926 interrupted construction for three years. Eventually the building was completed at a cost of around $4 million, complete with an "escape-proof" jail occupying floors sixteen through nineteen. The building was illuminated at night and visible for miles around. The base is sheathed in Stone Mountain granite, the upper floors with terra-cotta tinted to match. Originally all county government functions operated from here, but it was later reserved for the judiciary alone.

Description
Sheathed in polished red granite, the 47-story 520 Madison Avenue building boasts a waterfall and sidewalk clock on its 53rd Street entrance. Architects Swanke, Hayden & Connell designed a gentle sloping of the building towards the sidewalk to create an inviting feel for those admiring it. It is mixed-use, featuring commercial shops at street-level space with office space and private residences above.

4 Times Square
Description
In 1995, Four Times Square was the first speculative office building to be developed in New York City in almost a decade. It has 48 stories of occupied space and was the first project of its size and financial structure (multi-tenanted and not owner-operated) in the U.S. to adopt standards for energy efficiency, sustainable materials, and indoor environmental quality, as well as for responsible construction, operations, and maintenance practices.

The Building Diego Portales is a located urban complex in Santiago of Chile, constructed between December of 1971 and March of 1972. ² consists properly of the building so and a convention center of 13,300 ms. Catholic University of the Meter of Santiago is located in the Tree-lined avenue of the Liberator Bernardo O'Higgins next to the station. At the moment, it is used as center of conferences and conventions public and deprived and one of its towers is the seat of the Ministry of National defense. In addition, during the elections it lodges the computer center of the government.

Description
The Qualcomm Stadium is located in San Diego, California. On August 20, 1967 the San Diego Chargers played their first game in this stadium. In 1984, the Stadium was expanded to house nearly 61,000 seats and 50 suites were added at a cost of $9.1 million dollars. In 1997, the Stadium benefited from the addition of: 10,500 seats, 34 suites, four club lounges, two video boards, upgraded food service, and new practice facilities for the Chargers. The upgrades totaled $78 million dollars.

Description
The San Diego Convention Center is located along the San Diego shore in downtown San Diego, California. Designed by Canadian architect, Arthur Erickson, the convention center offers 525,701 square feet. The centers' most distinguishing feature is the roof-line of the central hallway: Sails Pavilion. This particular feature consists of distinctive Teflon-coated fiberglass 'sails', which are intended to reflect San Diego’s maritime history, as well as to emphasize the proximity of the center to the ocean.

The National Postal Museum is located in Washington, D.C. and opened in 1993. The Museum was established through a joint agreement between the United States Postal Service and the Smithsonian Institution. Located across the street from Union Station, the building served as the main post office for Washington, D.C., from its year of construction in 1914 until 1986. The building was designed by the Graham & Burnham architectural firm.

Millennium Building

Description
Downtown Washington D.C.’s most advanced ‘green’ building, the Millennium Building stands 12-stories tall just blocks from the White House and Capitol Hill. In addition to environmentally safe materials being used throughout, the building features E-windows that serve to make the building more efficient in heating and cooling. The actual floor plan and design of the office space also lends to the building using energy more efficiently.

Smithsonian Museum of American Art

Description
American artists find their collections displayed at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington D.C. Opened in 1968, the collection holds works from Georgia O’Keefe and Albert Bierdstadt among others. The museum was recently renovated in 2006. The ostensibly stoic building has architectural features such as porticoes, colonnades, vaulted galleries and skylights a city block long.

Located in Washington D.C., the United States Department of the Treasury is a cabinet department and houses the national treasury itself. Established in 1789 as an act of congress, its purpose was to manage government revenue. Description Height (struct.) 50 m 164 ft, Floors (OG) 13, Construction end 1988, Facts - The building has a distinctive chamfered corner and exposed fire stairs which are reminiscent of the Commonwealth Bank Building on King William Street which was also designed by Woods Bagot. - This building was designed towards the end of the 1980's boom and it is a leading example of the sleek, 'plastic' architecture favoured by many at the time.

Mellon Arena
Description The Mellon Arena, completed in 1961, was originally constructed as a performance center for the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera. The poor acoustics of the unique design forced the opera out soon after and the arena became home to the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team. This building was constructed with a retractable dome roof, with 6 moving panels. With additions of box seats, scoreboards and balconies, the roof can no longer be completely opened. The building has been used for many events from sports to concerts over its lifetime, and currently there are plans to replace it with a larger capacity stadium. Model created by Adam Hecht.

First Lutheran Church
Description
The First Lutheran Church was founded in downtown Pittsburgh in 1837 as the first English-speaking Lutheran church west of the Alleghenies. Made of sandstone in the Gothic Revival style, the building was designed by architect Andrew Peebles. Model created by Jordan Van Wyk.

Two Mellon Center
Description
Two Mellon Center is located in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Also known as The Union Trust Building and the Union Arcade, it was designed by Frederick J. Osterling. Two Mellon Center is Flemish-Gothic style and some of the unique features of this building include a mansard roof and an interior central rotunda topped by a stained glass dome. Petersen Events Center
Description
The Petersen Events Center is located on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This 430,000 square foot event center provides space for the universities basketball team, concerts, commencement and other sports. Constructed in 2002 to replace Pitt Stadium, the event center has a permanent hardwood floor, and features courtside suites. Also part of the center is a 40,000 square foot student recreation center. The building sets into the hillside tot eh northwest, creating a large garden area and gathering space. Model created by Adam Hecht.

Description
The “Office Building of the Year” award for 2005 went to 1201 Eye Street. The 280,000 square foot office project in Washington DC was constructed and designed by Global Development Partners. The partners managed the design, construction and completion of the $67 million building.

Description

Description
Neighbor to the World Bank and International Monetary Fund headquarters in downtown Washington D.C, the 1801 office building consists of 13 stories and some 180,579 square feet. 1801 Pennsylvania Avenue stands adjacent to the Edward R. Murrow Park and was designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill.

One Franklin Square
Description
Situated in downtown Washington DC is the One Franklin Square building rising 12-stories. As the tallest commercial building on K-street, it was originally completed in 1989. In 1996 Hines and the General Motors Pension Fund acquired the building. Architects Hartman and Cox designed the building. The 24k gold pinnacles standout as a prominent feature of the city skyline.

Neues noch in Planung befindliches höchstes Hochhaus der Stadt (82m). Soll 2009 im neuen Stadtteil Überseestadt fertiggestellt sein. Architekt ist der in Nürnberg geborene Starachitekt Helmut Jahn aus Chicago. Das Gebäude hat 22 Etagen und istvollständig mit Glas verkleidet.

Description
Neue umgestaltete Kaufhalle am Brill. Die ursprüngliche Kaufhalle wurde 1964 von Max Säume erbaut. 2007 wurde sie nach Plänen der Berliner Architekten Grüntuch Ernst aufwendig umgestaltet und beherbergt nun Einkaufmöglichkeiten auf zwei Etagen, sowie einen dreistöckigen Wintergarten und Gastronomie.

Crescendo, Rotterdam

Description
Appartment building, completed 2007. The low-rise section contains 6 homes of three storys each, then there are four duplex appartments on the ground floor and first floor of the tower, and 44 single-story appartments divided between the next eleven layers. The top three stories of the tower are shared by three very spacious luxury appartments. All the dwellings are finished to a high quality and have wonderful views of the park, the rivers and the city.

RTV Rijnmond, Rotterdam

Headquarters of local news broadcaster Radio Rijnmond, TV Rijnmond, RijnmondText and Rijnmond.nl. This new building has been in use since May 2007. RTV Rijnmond is the regional public radio and television broadcast station for the area Zuid-Holland-Zuid. Radio Rijnmond began in 1983, and TV Rijnmond exists since 2000. Since 2001 RTV is publicly funded, with some 6,5% of airtime sold for advertising. RTV Rijnmond has space for 110 full-time staff and a wide network of freelancers. For a public broadcasting station, journalistic independence is absolutely essential. The mission is to spread news and information particularly about the Rijnmond region to a broad public using radio, television and internet. RTV has the ambition to be the leading source of local information for South Holland-south. Relevant, independent, reliable, balanced, approachable, varied and interesting, with interest in and for everybody in the region.

122 Leadenhall street (Under Demolition), London

Description
122 Leadenhall Street is currently under demolition (Sep 07) to make way for the new 224m tall Leadenhall Building. The building is being unusually being demolished by McGee that has created a building which seemingly hovers in mid-air. This is due to the top down construction that has a central core supporting a crown that works as a cantilever to support the floors slung under it hence the need to demolish the lowest floors and work up. It's been made even harder by the fact that this was originally a building with bank vaults with concrete walls at times over 1.5 metres thick - enough to stop even Michael Caine getting into for the gold! The building, at the stands at its original height of 54m.

20 Fenchurch Street, London

Description
20 Fenchurch Street was built in 1968 and is due to be demolished soon (Autumn/Winter 07). The building stands at 92m tall with 25 floors. The building will be replaced with another much taller building which will stands at 160m and should be built by 2010.

New Nou Camp

Description
After 50 years of wonderful memories, the Camp Nou is looking to the future with optimism. The world-famous firm of architects, Foster + Partners, is to undertake the remodelling of the stadium based on the initial concepts of Francesc Mitjans. Home of FC Barcelona this new stadium will feature a glittering facade studded with colored polycarbonate and glass panels, creating a scaly skin of sorts, serving to shade, shelter, provide natural ventilation, and make a strong visual statement. The redesign will increase the Camp Nou's capacity from 98,000 to 106,000. The construction work will begin in 2009 and is due to be completed by the start of the 2011-2012 season. Description
Place des Arts is a major arts centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Located in the eastern part of the city's downtown ( 45°30 31.40″N, 73°34 02.10″W), between Ste-Catherine and de Maisonneuve Streets, and St-Urbain and Jeanne-Mance streets, the complex is home to the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, and the Opéra de Montréal. Place des Arts was an initiative of Mayor Jean Drapeau, a noted lover of opera, as part of a project to expand the downtown core eastward from the concentration of business and financial activity in the centre-west part of downtown. The Corporation George-Étienne-Cartier, named in honour of George-Étienne Cartier, a Father of Confederation and opera lover, was set up to build it, and the first part of the complex (including the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier) was inaugurated on September 21, 1963.
